Questions to Open Up Possibilties
In a recent post, I commented on the fact that we may inadvertently discourage people from sharing ideas and concerns with us.
Coach and consultant, Robin Sparks, recently shared questions that we can use to encourage people to jump into the conversation and engage on a topic. Some of her favorite questions for opening up possibilities include:
- What idea(s) do you have?
- What does your intuition tell you about this idea?
- What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
- What excites you about this idea?
- What scares you about this idea?
- What do you make of that?
- What else is possible?
Readers: What excites you about this list of questions? What additional suggestions do you have?
